DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS

We provide an on-call physician for 24 hour coverage for deliveries and other emergencies.
If your water breaks or you start having regular contractions, please call the and let us know.
WHEN TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL
If your water breaks, please go to Schneider Regional Medical Center (Roy Schneider or Myrah Keaton), after you have notified the office.
If you are having contractions that are 3-5 minutes apart, please call the office.
WHAT TO BRING TO THE HOSPITAL
Because your baby will decide on his or her own birthday, it is a good idea to have your bag packed four weeks in advance of your due date.
For Mom:
Personal Identification
Insurance Card and Prescription Card
Lip balm for during labor and delivery
One pair of slippers
Nursing bras (regular bras if you do not plan to breastfeed)
Disposable underwear will be provided but you may want to pack 2-3 pairs of underwear (not expensive lingerie; you will be bleeding after delivery)
Basic Toiletries will be provided but you may consider bringing your preferred list of toiletries (shampoo, comb/brush, toothbrush, and toothpaste)
Skin and facial moisturizer
Change of clothes to wear home (maternity clothing)
Pads will be provided but you may consider you preferred brand of peri-pads
For Baby:
Infant car seat. Set up your car seat in the car (it is mandatory and will be required for your baby’s ride home from the hospital). You will have the car seat inspected by the hospital staff.
Blankets will be provided for the baby but you may consider bringing two receiving blankets.
Clothes to wear home-T-shirt, “onesy”, hat, booties, and sleeper
